Beautiful Sweet smelling sweet peas. Our plants have been grown slow and cold- just like sweet peas like it! We started these last fall so they have beautiful root systems. They are fully hardened off and ready to go in your garden now. Add a trellis after planting and they will begin to climb and start flowering late April until it gets too hot for them. Keep them well watered.

Sweet Pea FAQ:

1. When do they bloom- late April through May or whenever it gets really hot.

2. What kind of light do they need? Sun or partial sun

3. How do I grow them best? Give them lots of water and good compost when planting

4. Can I start my own seeds? Yes, but it’s too late to do it now for Southeastern climates. Start your seeds in the fall, buy plants now.

5. Do I really need to trellis them? Well if you don’t they’ll crawl all over the ground and probably end up with a disease from getting too wet. If you want long flowering stems, put up a trellis

6. When should I cut them? Harvest when 2/3 of the blooms are open on a stem. Cut often and enjoy- They smell amazing!!
